The horror element is excellent and the characters are amazingly written. The author clearly has a love for Archie comics as the characters are spot on. Despite the infrequent publication of issues for the series , this is one of the best comics of the last 10 years . Must buy for lovers of horror , Archie , and fun .

This is the first in a ten issue Archie/zombie story arc. I don't know where it's going, but the start is just fine. MILD PREMISE SPOILER. Sabrina the Teenage Witch feels sorry for Jughead when Jughead's dog is killed by a car and dips into necromancy to help him out. Things do not develop well. What we end up with is a hardcore zombie book and an Archie gang adventure book, (with all of the Archie characters and set in Riverdale), in a mashup that works surprisingly well. If you don't think that's possible, and I had my doubts, it's worth taking a look at this comic, because it ended up being entertaining and fun. The artwork is clean and sharp and supports the story nicely, so it was a fine effort across the board.I was curious about how a comic would appear as a download. I downloaded this to a Kindle Fire and it worked fine. An entire page comes up on the screen. You can read it, but the print is very small. If you want zoom, then you can double tap the first panel on a page and then cycle through each panel from the page, with each panel being the size of the screen. Once you go through the four to six panels the next thing up is the next full page. You follow the same procedure there. This is a little cumbersome, but it's a price I'm willing to pay to read this, especially since it is currently free as a kindleunlimited choice.
This is a new series, a complete new take on Archie. It’s Archie meets The Walking Dead. What could be better?It’s the week before Halloween, somebody is running through the woods, they are running fast as they can, carrying something heavy. The wooden steps of the front porch creak as the runner springboards themselves up the steps. BANG! BANG! BANG! Echoed through the house. It’s 3AM and Sabrina wakes up. Her aunts tell her not to open the door, but she does. It’s Jughead on the porch of her house with his dog in his arms. He had been hit by a car and was dead. Unfortunately the dog is beyond help.But Sabrina has an idea, a forbidden idea. She helps reanimate Hot Dog back from the dead. A few days later, Hot Dog returns home, but unfortunately he isn’t his old self and attacks Jughead. Things go downhill from here. The end of the world has just started.The writing in this one isn’t quit as good as the Sabrina comics. But it’s early yet. I am going to be reading the first 5 issues of this comic and hope it can get a bit better.The artistry to me is in the same boat as the writing. It’s good, but not as good as the Sabrina comics. But it’s still excellent.
Neat, I think I'll check these out prior to watching the show. The traffics are bright, which is surprising to me. But I guess that's keeping tradition with the original comics.
There's a line between a nod to "Pet Sematary" and cribbing a key line from it. A reasonable "Archie" comic, a quotidian zombie story.
Only 24 pages plus 8 of Q&A, letters which do not add to the story arc. Need four more words.
I liked it. It was a very good start to what will be a good zombie comic book. Please read
