It is too involved for an old person to use. Goes in to more than I will ever need. I just wanted an easy to read and understand "how to" for basic iphone use. I ordered "Help Me! Guide To iPhone 6s for Seniors" and it is wonderful! I highly recommend that one.

My 70 year old mother in law bought an iPhone 6 plus and did not know how to use it. Although her children and grandchildren all know, I wanted her to have a guidebook that she could read and refer to if she had questions. This book is perfect for that! I was concerned it might be written too simple since it's "For Seniors For Dummies" but it's perfect for someone with little smartphone experience. She has told me how helpful it has been.

This book was a birthday gift for my Dad who turned 78 this year and received his first smartphone (iPhone) from my brother. Dad says he's learning something new reading the book every day. He says he especially likes how easy it is to read and understand. Dad is not technologically savy, so when he says it's easy to understand, he means it. I think iPhone For Seniors (For Dummies) is one of the best gifts I have gotten my Dad in a long time.

The author may know about iPhones, but he does not know about seniors. I find the structure of the book to be very much not user friendly for seniors. Also, whenever I look up a question using the index, the article seems to cover almost every thing except the answer to the question I have. Seniors have been seasoned to research things in a way we consider logical. Computer geeks think in binary fashion, so what they find clear is not clear to people with a more Aristotelian, analog background.

If I could give two and a half stars, that would be my rating. As is the case with instruction books for computers, if you already know how to use an iPhone, this might be useful. Being a total novice (I gave up an Android smart phone because I couldn't learn how to use it) I thought this might help with the iPhone my daughter gave me when she upgraded. I was wrong. Even though I only want to do the most rudimentary tasks (phone calls and pictures), the instructions were too vague to be much help. Lest you write me off as too dumb to learn electronics, let me disclose that I have a PhD, so I can't be THAT dumb. Perhaps it's my age -- although it is intended 'for Seniors'. Or perhaps it's my dislike of and discomfort with most electronics. Anyway, I think you might be better off grabbing someone younger and getting them to teach you hands on.

Well written and easy to understand. I received the iPhone for my 76th birthday and did not know where to begin in respect to learning how to use it. I checked into the availability of classes, but they were all held at night and I no longer drive after dark. Thank you for making this available.

I bought this book for an older friend who has his first iPhone. He wanted to learn how to adjust various settings and alerts to suit his need. Since I'm strictly an Android device user, I wasn't able to help him effectively.I sat down with the book, my friend and his phone and we were able to get his iTunes synced, set up his email and contacts and get the alarm clock set correctly. He called yesterday and said he's been reading this book and fiddling with his phone every evening after supper and having a ball. He's 79 years old and isn't feeling overwhelmed by the book, the information or his iPhone. That's a win in my book.

It does not answer or guide several issues. Like help with settings. I had issues as to why I lost my sound notifications for incoming text messages& missed phone calls. For us seasonedcitizens that was a very big problem.

Great book. Second in the series. If you want to work on storytelling get this. If you want ready made stories to use get this book!

The stories in this book are so beautiful and teach values in such a moving way. It is extremely hard to capture the interest of my 4th grade special education students. These stories captivated them 50% or more of the time. That is an excellent track record. Susan has lived in South Africa, East Africa, and Australia and she weaves different traditions to create stories which help children accept other children with difficulties, turn around difficult behaviors, and rise to the challenge of difficult situations. There is a whole section on how to compose a story to provide a healing framework.

Must have for parents- I’m not kidding- she is one of the best storytellers to have ever lived- you will cherish this collection.

Stories to help deal with specific antisocial and harmful behaviors by children ages 3 to 10.

I am continually referring to this book and it’s companion, Healing Stories for Challenging Behavior, for my classroom storytelling. Therapeutic Storytelling offers excellent and encouraging guidance for story writing.

This book is a wonderful follow up to Susan's first book "Healing Stories for Challenging Behavior." In this new book there is an extensive list of challenging situations a child might face and many stories to help children through these experiences.

I usually use Lonely Planet for all my trips, but this time I decided to try Frommer's. It wasn't bad--I like the idea of acknowledging which things are overrated or hidden gems, but the book was still a little dry for me. The hotels it lists are much more expensive than I was looking for, and the layout of the book makes it difficult to flip through for quick reference. It is the first edition though, and maybe the second will be a little better.

If you have the time to educate yourself before your trip this is an approriate guide. If you are a last-minute person and you want to whip something out of your pocket while you stand in the middle of Marrakech wondering what to do, find something else. We read some of it before we left and did some preparing the day before we were to visit a specific city, town, or region, and that worked for us.

I received the book in OK condition. I wouldn't quite say it was in "good" condition. It had been a library book (stamped as such) that the buyer apparently bought from his/her library so it had clearly been through many hands and it showed somewhat in the condition of the book. It was difficult finding this- as I believe Frommer's hasn't published a new one in a few years- so I was happy to receive it.

Of the three major guides that we looked at, in retrospect, this was the most concise and useful for our purposes. It was used mostly for information on what to see, and how to get there. We don't use these books for seeking out where to stay or eat, but for what we needed this was the most useful.

As a traveler. I always buy books before I visit a new country. This book was just what I wanted to learn about Morocco.Full oof interesting and helpful info for a great trip.

Shipped to us on time. Good seller. Book is very useful. We plan to go this year and I am sure this will be very useful.

Just perfect for planning our trip to Morocco. It had everything that we needed. We will take it with us for future reference.

I've been whipping out Swedish Weave towels like I know what I'm doing with this booklet. I did find some towels at a local store that has a band of Aida cloth for the weaving, which makes it a whole lot faster since I don't have to worry about the finishing. If you're looking for some fast and easy gifts that don't LOOK fast or easy, this is it!

Easy to follow patterns for a beginner.

The Swedish Embroidery Book is very helpful. The pictures and directions are clear. My wish is that the Huck Toweling needed for the craft is expensive and hard to find.

This was exactly what I was looking for, a bookfor a beginner...like me. Very helpful plusdirections and patterns are extremely easy to follow.

I was very pleased with this, being a beginner it was very easy to follow and understand. I have already done most of the patterns and they came out great.
