Amazing book, really. I love the learning about algorithms, as an aspiring programmer however, a lot of videos and other books can get really complicated and convoluted and just difficult to understand. I am reading through the book once to understand everything, then re-reading to focus on memorizing all the information. This book has the absolute clearest explanations on the topic that I have seen anywhere. In my opinion, a must have for people trying to understand these sometimes complicated topics. Especially for first timers. In addition, the book is visually pleasing as well. It has helpful pictures and diagrams, and the cover design is classy and minimalist.

Introduction to Algorithms is excellent book but people with very less mathematical background this book , Essential Algorithms is perfect. Language is simple and examples are also good, which makes understanding difficult concepts easy.Good questions at end of each chapter with solutions makes concepts clear and crisp.I would highly recommend this book.

Well executed navigation (ebook edition) helps you to get the desired information within a couple of seconds. It is good to read it from cover to cover for the first time and than keep as reference at hand in case of need.

I have been teaching car control clinics at racetracks for 30 years, and bought this book [per recommendation] to see if the author had any information or approaches I had missed. Yes, a few. The book is straightforward and dry.Few will read it for pleasure. I am considering how to incorporate this into my teaching.

This book functions as what most Americans would consider a Drivers Ed. text book. It is a very good one, but it is specific to the UK (which side of the road is driven on, signs, etc). It goes into much greater detail on the physics of a vehicle in motion then most texts of the sort would do, and does a good job of explaining this material. The book does not have any information relating to high speed or pursuit driving, and states that these are subjects best learned with an instructor. As a general text about driving it's a 5 star book, those looking for information about police driving (as I was) look else where such as Bob Bondurant on Police and Pursuit Driving.

This book is a classic - written for highly qualified UK police drivers but a worthwhile, informative instruction guide for the rest of us / civilians.

I first read it when I was 18 and would sum it up as "the easiest, quickest, surest, cheapest way to literally double your driving ability and safety virtually overnight".It is practical, simple and easy to apply. I can't remember the exact figures but what attracted me to the original version was the dramatic reduction in road accidents that the London Metropolitan police experienced after developing this driver training program.Do yourself and all road users a favour - read it (and then re-read it every so often).
